Tim Harris and Saneel Radia recently descended upon Sydney to talk marketing creativity and make tangential TMNT references at Media 2010, a one-day international gathering of media, marketing and advertising leaders. Denuo was excited to be represented among this influential group to discuss the new rules for success in the evolving digital landscape.

In Sacred Cows Stifling Marketing Creativity, Tim and Saneel identify the sacred cows that lead to less creative organizations, and offer up their perspective on the philosophies that make creative companies successful.

Keep reading for reactions and video from our presentation, as well as Saneel’s podcast interview with Australian mag, Marketing.

Reflectuer- Issue 53

Posted by Ellen Bird | February 25, 2010

Issue 53 is a fun issue. We start by looking at a number of sites that are all about social commentary via cartoons. Then there are the Tweenbots – little robots that can only travel in one direction and therefore need help to find their way through New York’s Washington Square Park… and got it!

We move on to 5 Second Films, which is exactly what it sounds like. A good, quick distraction for a long day. And finally, Panoramas.dk will show you breath-taking panoramic images from around the world – hundred of them.

Hurry up – click above for the full issue.

PLAYED – February 2010

Our love affair with games and the gaming industry continues unabated in the February issue. This month, PLAYED examines downloadable content as another smart way for marketers to get involved in the gaming space. We also look at how gaming companies are assisting relief efforts in Haiti, as well as at home, by putting their users to work. With the release of the iPad, we analyze how Apple’s new device isn’t necessarily changing the game, but allowing more and more folks be a part of the space. Finally, as casual and social gaming captures increasing mainstream attention and player time, we wonder whether the new casual gamer is just as hardcore as the “typical” gaming demographic.

Yes, I Want to Subscribe!

There is something strangely satisfying about subscriptions. In a world where we increasingly browse and Stumble Upon to find things of interest, a subscription means something in our mailbox (real or virtual) on which we can rely every time. Subscriptions feel trustworthy in a world where the rest of our content is found through the sometimes-thrilling but sometimes-exhausting process of trial and error. It finds us instead of us needing to seek it out. And the best subscriptions have the capacity to surprise us again and again.

Here are five of my current favorites:

Maker’s Mark + Billboard + Friday Night = Paid Impression

It should be noted before going much further in reading this that a) it is a Friday night, b) It was one of those weeks that required a glass or three of wine in the evening and c) I had a vendor meeting and subsequent work conversation fresh in my head that probably influenced all of what you are about to read.
