Will Disaster Girl soon reach MEME status? Probably not, but it’s a fun community involvement concept created by BuzzFeed.

It all started with this picture:

Then Buzzfeed provided users with the cut out version of the girl, and asked them to put her creepy little face in other images. Some of the results are great, but I’m most interested in the community engagement idea coming from Buzzfeed. They recently allowed people to register for the site and share content, and they’ve been trying to figure out how to properly involve community. This is a good start.

Yes, Buzzfeed is one of my favorite sites.
