PLAYED – September 2009
Posted by Eric Bee | September 18, 2009As much as we’re waiting for the next Call of Duty release to cannibalize our free time this fall, there’s plenty in the world of gaming that’s keeping us excited until then, bursting this issue of PLAYED at the seams with news and insight. This month, we highlight five titles coming soon that will capture the hearts, minds, and thumbs of gamers worldwide, while taking a deeper look at the launch of The Beatles: Rock Band and its appeal to gamers and non-gamers alike.
We also talk about what Sony’s retooling of the Playstation brand means for gamers, as well as the rise of social gaming and how its cultural success and profitability are changing the way developers see social networks.
Be sure to check out the multimedia capabilities of PLAYED – using Adobe Reader you can click on the red highlighted text, as well as all of the call-outs in “What We’ve Been Playing” and “What We’ve Been Surfing.”
Feel free to reach out to our team with any questions or feedback you have on the topics covered.
