PLAYED – July 2009
Posted by Eric Bee | July 18, 2009While the summer season is considered the gaming industry’s slow time of year, this month’s PLAYED shows that people are still beating the heat by playing games. With the recession’s impact on everyday life, we look at how players are changing their gaming habits in the current economic climate.
We also highlight the evolving face of gaming’s enthusiast media, Microsoft’s integration of Silverlight into the Xbox 360 platform, and how game demos are going above and beyond their traditional “sneak preview” purpose.
Be sure to check out the multimedia capabilities of PLAYED – using Adobe Reader you can click on the red highlighted text, as well as all of the call-outs in “What We’ve Been Playing” and “What We’ve Been Surfing.”
