PLAYED – August 2009
Posted by Eric Bee | August 18, 2009Summer’s starting to wane, which means we’re entering the fall gaming season, ripe with blockbuster titles and another jam-packed edition of PLAYED. This month, we check out augmented reality’s impact on the web and gaming’s inherent tie, as well as MTV’s newest avenue for up-and-coming acts, via the Rock Band Network.
We also take a look at digital distribution’s current appeal to publishers in a slowing economy, and how delaying games from the traditionally packed holiday season may benefit gamers and publishers alike.
Be sure to check out the multimedia capabilities of PLAYED – using Adobe Reader you can click on the red highlighted text, as well as all of the call-outs in “What We’ve Been Playing” and “What We’ve Been Surfing.”
Feel free to reach out to our team with any questions or feedback you have on the topics covered.
