Lego Wins
Posted by John Durbin | September 29, 2009I saw this in my neighborhood on my way to the train this morning. The area didn’t look like a construction zone and very well may have been someone reserving a parking spot with caution tape they bought at a party store (google/bing search was inconclusive).
All I know is either:
1) Someone at Lego is a genius because I immediately wanted to go buy some Legos.
2) Someone I live near is a genius because I certainly wasn’t going to park there.
If this is a marketing attempt for Lego, I love it. Yes, it is a dreaded “one-off” as far as I can tell, but it made me laugh and think of Legos and how awesome they are. It certainly didn’t send me immediately to the store (I’ll get there soon enough), but it did keep a product at the forefronts of my thought. Simple execution with positive influence. Advertising WIN.
And if it was my neighbor, then I think Lego owes you at least playset 7048.
